“ I ordered a beef taco. It was tasty, I love how the dice up the onions and cilantro together "see photo below". The primary colors give this mexican restaurant an authentic feel. I'll definitely be back to try their burritos and yummy taco's. ”

“ Festive casual interior, a jukebox playing surrounded by brightly painted walls with long communal tables so you can see what your neighbor is eating. I got a mexican coke and a super beef taco. The super taco comes with a healthy portion of meat, melted cheese, sour cream, salsa and freshly scooped avocado. Pretty impossible to eat with your hands, I still gave it a go and was happy I had a stack of napkins at hand. You get a small dish of chips and salsa with your order, however the chips are not house made and not that great, the green salsa is very good though. It looks like a favorite is the wet burrito as many of my neighbors were chowing down on those babies covered in red sauce, cheese and chopped onions. While I enjoyed my visit here, I would not make a special trip to the Mission for this one.

“ This is my favorite burrito place! I have tried many Mission burrito places and always go
back to this one. The vegetarian burrito is a must. Plus, it's open late and makes a great
late night meal. A word to the weak: the hot salsa is HOT! ”

“ went here last week, it was packed due to Carnival, so many people eating here. the chips look like they come from one of those ten pound bags. bland. watery salsa. My Pollo burrito was greasy and tasted greasy. what is all the fuss about, El faro on 24th /alabama is much better. Authentica at el faro.

“ Even though Pancho Villa and La Taqueria usually get the nod, Taqueria Cancun does dish up tasty burritos, tortas and quesadillas. Carne asada, chicken, carnitas, and chorizo..it's all good. One nice touch is I usually pay EXTRA for avocado @ Pancho but they are automatically part of the program here. Cheaper pricing and less atmosphere, but you're here to eat...and the eatings good. I'm not a veggie guy, but I've even enjoyed a veggie burrito here. Claiming which taqueria is the best is a touchy subject in SF because we all have our faves...and this is a good option.

“ Having moved to the East Bay, I sometimes dream about this joint. Usually hit this one on Mission. Love the low key casual dinning area. Sometimes I actually enjoy the live music performed by the local bands that roam the Mission and stop in to perform. The super veggie burrito is my stand by here. The fresh chunks of avocado are superior to that soupy guac so many places use. I like the way they slightly grill the burrito before serving. The price is fantastic. I have to pay close to $10 over here to get something that is about a fourth of the quality of this tasty burrito. Hand down my favorite bay area burrito. ”

“ Huge portions. The chicken soft taco I had was good, with a variety of flavors and decent amounts of meat instead of just beans. Super cheap. ”

“ All time favorite. Get the grilled chicken in your burrito or quesadilla, both huge and dirt-cheap. There is something in the sauce here that makes everything sublime. Two grilled chicken tacos will stuff you. I eat here two or three times a week. I want to marry it. ”

“ Cancun is my favorite restaurant in the City. The veggie burritos are HUGE, and come with big chunks of avacado in addition to the standards of salsa, rice, beans, cheese, cilantro, onions. Their "guacamole" salsa comes free with your order (inc. chips). Really good. Both salsas are a bit hot, though, in case you have a sensitive tongue. ”

“ Great veggie burritos (and I'm a carnivore), great tortas (like a burrito, but no rice, and served on french bread - awesome) and fantastic burritos mojados (drenched in red sauce). Really great green salsa, and the picnic table decor makes you cozy up to your neighbor. ”

“ This place is great. Their suiza is great and in summer make sure to get some melon agua frescas. Probably not a place to take Mom and Dad visiting from Ohio. ”

“ okay, let me start by saying that the burro is good. even very good. the prices are way cheap. now for the downsides. some of the food handling is a bit questionable and the chips are not so great (but they are free with the burro, so i ought not complain too much). ”
