“ Interesting little place. Great steaks, delicious seafood. I'm a cheap and cheerful kinda guy, so this isn't worth the money IMHO, but if you appreciate a quality steak, this may well be your place.
Definitely a splash out dinner. Girl behind the bar is awesome!

“ First off let me say the steak here is the best I've ever eaten. That being said, there is NOTHING else worth going to this restaurant for. We were seated upstairs in a very small room with 2 booths and one large table of 20 people who were extremely noisy. Our waitress was not in a good mood dealing with the large party. The steaks were excellent, but the appetizers and sides were not. Sides are $7 and we got 4 small onion rings which we did not even finish, an ice cream scoop size of a brown sugar and butter yam that tasted like a plain baked yam. The mushrooms tasted as if someone poured a salt shaker on them. It was my daughter's 23rd birthday. I asked them to set up a dessert for her and they did not. dessert was not even what the menu said it was. Choose Ruth Chris, Alfred's, Harris', Mortons...not only are the steaks good at these places, but everything is good. We are native San Franciscan's and we will never go back to this place, nor take any visitor ”

“ It was Halloween night (my birthday and a friends birthday as well) she has been telling me about Boboquivari's for months now. This was the first dry-aged steak ($38) I have ever eaten, and what Boboquivari delivers a truly unique, delicious, and must visit restaurant for any steak lover. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Lobster Soup and the Bermuda Onion Rings. Areas for improvement? My Censor salad was very average (not bad, but not great), it seemed to be lacking garlic. Service was top notch, Free valet parking, (yes you read that correctly FREE valet parking) and a steak that's out of this world. Overall: An experience well worth repeating. Dinner for three $250 + tip. ”

“ Really good steak, one of the top 10 in my extensive steak eating experience. My family owned a cattle ranch in Texas and my Dad is the BBQ KING so really great steak was a staple thought my childhood. Wayne makes a mean smoked steak too (the bbq prince)! So the bar was very high for a place that claims to have “The Steak”. I started with the Iron-Skillet Mussels ($14) tiny minuscule mussels w/ a savory garlic butter dipping sauce...not worth the trouble. I had the Bone-in Filet Mignon ($38) med rare, thick tender juicy well seasoned big 'ol hunk of aged beef, yummy! Highly recommend the Basil Martini for the c***tail crowd. The Brussels Sprouts ($7) were soggy and uneatable. Onion rings were crisp and enjoyable. Over all everything was over salted and it's seems like they could throw in the sides when you are paying almost $40 for the steak. For the two of us it was about $180 including tip. Great service, weird decor, great steak and c***tails…sides and apps need some work. Enjoy! ”

“
One of my favorite restaurants in the city! The food is wonderful, the service is perfect and the atmosphere is perfect for a date or small group outing. The crab is delicious, perfectly cooked and soaked in delicious garlic butter. The steak is always perfect. I have been multiple times and have never had anything to eat that wasn't exceptional. ”

“ It pains me to say it but this place does have the best steak in town. The bottom line is the quality of meat, you could deep-fry this f**ker and the thing would still melt in your mouth. Go with he bone-in filet rare, a side of mushrooms (tell them to make it the old way, trust me) and maybe some asparagus. Skip the salads (over priced and lame) you may want to try one of the skillets, I prefer the mussels but the shrimp and crab are also very good. Bring your own juice, though, no bargains on the wine list. The bartendress makes some pretty amazing drinks with great attention to detail. Try one of the "savory-sweet" cocktails like the basil or cucumber martini. ”

“ If you want really good steak, go somewhere else. I was extremely disappointed by the food, service and outrageous prices. The waiter asked if we wanted bread but failed to mention that it was NOT complimentary. I was part of a large group and the orders were screwed up but did arrive on time. The waiter did not provide hot towels for those eating crab after clearing the table until I had gotten up to track him. After the bill was dropped off, the waiter did not come by to follow up. There was very little incentive to check up on us since the 18% gratuity was included. The food and service do not justify the exorbitant prices. ”

“ I had a great experience at this place. The sizzling shrimp were awesome and I always have to add salt, but I didn't at this place. The flavor and seasoning were more than enough to make me happy. I also tried the filet mignon and once again, great taste and quality. The service could use some polishing, but other than that, I recommend it. ”

“ I have never been as disappointed in a restaurant as I was with this one. There were four in our party. The waitress never came back to the table to see if any thing else was needed or wanted after the food order except to bring the check.
The crab cakes, three of them, were the size of fifty cent piece, the petite filet was suppose to be four ounces was about two ounces if that. I could have placed it in a shot glass. The large filet was order medium rare it came well done; we order two baked potatoes and got only one.
When all of this was brought to the manager’s attention she smiled and gave us the bill.
PS don’t drive there and use their parking. The best part of the visit was watching the guy park the cars. He would pull into traffic and then back into the parking area.

“ Filet mignon seemd a bit on the salty side, but really good. Like butta and really tasty. Sides are good too. Decor is over the top: oddball eclectic. Friendly bartender, very relaxed atmosphere. Definitely worth going to check out. ”

“ Here's an interesting surprise of a steak house in the Marina. Forget the fact that it's right next to a motel on Lombard Street, and that the interior looks cheesy(the owner also owns the stinking rose which I'm not a fan of), but the steaks are tasty. Prime cuts, I've always tried the bone in rib eye and it has been solid. The mushroom side was okay, the asparagus was better. There was a great bartender named Jason who made excellent cocktails. Check it out when you're tired of Mortons, Ruths Chris, and Izzys...a pleasant surprise. ”

“ The steak is second to none! Seriously, people say “they have good steak” but this steak raises the bar so much that it may ruin your appetite for others. I have eaten here several times and the food never disappoints. The salads and sides are all great. The atmosphere and service are excellent, although the décor is a little tacky. ”

“ Best steak this side of Appalachia, I always say. Classy decor, superb wine list and great appetizers and sides. I recommend the Ahi Tuna Carpaccio, Caeser Salad and the Porterhouse with the Portobello Mushrooms side. Don't forget the Skillet Roasted Mussels and the desserts are great too. A definate must see for any serious steak connoisseur. ”

“ I am a big fan of meat, and Bobo's is, in my opinion the best steak in town. I met the bartender (Swan) at another place and she said we should try Bobo's so my girlfriend and I went the next week. The steak was fantastic, much more than I expected from the off-beat decor, but it all works! From the basil martini before the meal, through two perfectly prepared steaks (I had the porterhouse, they cook the filet separately so both steaks are perfect!) The sweet potatoes and mushroom sides were awesome, and dessert ant port finished up a fantastic meal. I have since sent at least 6 tables there and all have come back raving about the food and service! Keep it up! ”

“ What a great restaurant! I personally love the quirky decor, it's a lot of fun. And let me just tell you, the steak (I had the petite filet mignon) is like a second tongue. You place a bite in your mouth it melts. So yummie! The crab was delicious. The prices make this restaurant a special occasion/pay day place to visit. But all in all, it was delicious, and I will go back again (when I have more money) ;-)BTW: WE are having our company party there tonight and I will update! ”

“ I'm not sure if this place will survive, but I went with friends, we got the crab platter (I know you are supposed to get steak) and it was wonderful. Our server was fun. I just don't know about the decor/theme... ”

“ For those that can withstand their cholesterol count going up a bit: try the Bobo's porterhouse. Individually cooked filet and NY steak. Full of dry aged flavor, & tender. Add to that some crab (that comes blazing on a skillet). Don't forget to dip each bite twice in the butter. Bobo's is comparable to the City's higher-end steak joints. The atmosphere is quirky, but it works. Ask the lovely bartender for a drink before you get seated. Moderate wine list that is fairly priced. ”

“ A quirky , cool place. Fun bartender. Great food (honestly a lot better than I thought it would be). I thought it would be a tourist trap but the night I was there everyone was a local it seemed. Give this place a try! ”

“ You want the best steak in town? Go to Bobo's. They have the most aged steak in town that has the most incredible flavor. The crab is outstanding as well. If you like a good steak though, this is the place! Although they have another restaurant at the Wharf, don't be fooled. This is not strictly a tourist trap. If you have friends in from out of town and someone wants seafood and someone wants steak, badda boom, badda bang! Boboquivari's is da place to go!
