“ LIVE from Morocco, that's how it felt while dining at the new Pasha's. Angela and I were lucky to be a guest of this moroccan experience. You walk into a huge tent like atmosphere; it really sets the mood for what's to come. They start out by washing your hands tableside “first for me” with rose water, which was fun. For appetizers I had the Tuna tartar, the Pasha sampler and the Chicken satays. For my entrée I had the Prawn Tagine, it was super delicious. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, juicy & flavorful; they tasted so fresh like they were caught in the morning. While dinner was being served we got treated to some live entertainment & belly dancing. I'm smiling as I write this, “there is no such thing as too much belly dancing” I love it. Many of the guests were celebrating birthday's, which added to the entertainment. Pasha's is a place to try if you enjoy entertainment and exotic cuisine. Small area for improvement, bring back the valet parking. ”

“ New ownership. Two brothers took the place over and have changed the menu to moroccan cuisine. The space includes a large bar area as you enter with a display of moroccan knick-knacks. The dinning room is lined with booths and spotted with small square seats, all of which is centered around the bandstand. After you are seated you get cleaned up with some lovely rose water, hold out your hands and they'll do the pouring, smells great! The menu is divided into appetizers, small plates and entrees. We had the Pasha sampler which we realized was for 2 people and we intended it for 4, a note on the menu would be nice as to the portions for the dishes as most ended up being much smaller that we anticipated. The shrimp on the sampler was divine, beautiful flavor. For my main I had the grilled lamb, hearty portions of lamb with moroccan mashed potatoes ($30). This is the perfect place for a birthday or anniversary party as the entertainment (live music & belly dancers) is included. Enjoy! ”

“
Attention all foodies! New owners, new chef, new menu, new wine list, new entertainment, new plates and silverware, and a whole new deal! This place has completely re-vamped itself into this fun and eclectic middle eastern restaurant. You will see not only Americans but also some real middle easterners and North africans that appreciate the authenticity of the new menu. They are small plates and you all know how I detest small plates, but it's delish, clean, good spices, and such a refreshing change! We had many plates from the Pasha Sampler (Great for a party of 2), Bastilla (wonderful and delicate), Spinach dish with cilantro (who woulda thunk?), rack of lamb (generous portion), Miner Syrah 2003 ($81 and worth every dollar), the cookies and moroccan mint tea (Love it!) and some other things....I just don't remember. I danced for a good hour to this Palestinian duo that plays the Arabic top hits. ”

“ I went there for a friend's birthday. The food is okay but it was quite expensive. I would recommend this restaurant if you want try something different like a fun dinner atmosphere and some after dinner entertainment. It was definitely worth it just to see my stiff friend try to do some belly dancing. ”

“ I went with a group of friends and we all had a great time. This restaurant offered great entertainment and ambiance. The food was good (ordered royal feasts, seafood special, and many different appetizers). The service had some room for improvementsc.they brought checks before they brought our tea and the desert, we had to go get a server for water many times, and they never came to ask how we were doing. The bill was about $60/each person with a bottle of Champaign. Considering the fun experience we had, it was worth it. It is a fun place to go for a special occasion. Entertainment: 4 out of 5, food: 3 out of 5. ”

“ Obviously a hot spot - belly dancing is great, but can be found for lower prices elsewhere in the city - Haight Street Kan Zaman for example. Decor was incredible and added to the price of the bill. Food was delicious but also overpriced - service was mediocre. Mint tea is delicious, but I was bummed when my friend's glass came out full, and mine was half full - the waiter must have spilt it on the way from the kitchen but coulnd't have been asked to refill it before bringing it out - as an ex-waitress, and restaurant goer, this really annoyed me. Mediocre, with a "bling" "hot-spoty" flair. I'm lukewarm about this place. ”

“ Way too expensive for mediocre food. Being middle eastern myself, it's bad service to kick paying customers (over $500 for dinner) off the table to seat others...so the greedy owners can make more money! EVEN the BellyDancers are paid low wages..lower than I've ever heard! Who cares that's it's a well known restaurant!
I've had better food, better service, for a lot less money! There's many other locations in the city...ie KAN ZAMAN! ”

“ I LOVE PASHA.....We had an amazing time and the food was fabulous!
Its not your traditional "Hippy Humus" joint its a classy place with an exotic twist. The crowd is hot and the place is jumpin. I entertained a group of middle eastern tourists and all of them "LOVED PASHA". They said the food was traditional and much healthier than back at home. The belly dancer was beautiful and made my husband drool... The live music was outrageous, We danced until 2:00 am.
I will definantly go back during the week when it draws a more couple romantic crowd - During the weekend its definantly a WILD place.
*Highly recommend ***** stars (order the middle eastern Combination)...the best

“ Indeed a unique experience. You enter a different world when you walk through the gilded doors into a huge exquisitely decorated room with wall to wall rugs, belly dancing up front, and wait staff in Turkish outfits. Unfortunatly we turned up on a Tuesday night when it was almost dead, but it was still fun nevertheless. - Food was interesting, but watch out, it's EXPENSIVE! ”

“ The food is defintiely not the selling point of the restaurant, but the atmosphere, service and entertainment are. This is a place to go with a large group if you want to have fun and have some decent food. The place is decorated beautifully, a little kitchy, but fun. The experience is hilarious. They will have you dancing by the end of the night after some flaming sambuca shots. Their turkish tea is also one to try. Great place for a big group get together! ”

“ It feels like Arabian Nights here at Pasha every night. They have belly dancers and musicians to set the tone. THe food is not bad, but not great either...you pay for the ambiance and entertainment. It's fun and great to bring someone special, but not something you'll do more than once. I haven't been back. ”

“ Get your passport ready ...cuz it sure feels like you are going on a trip! Okay, so Pasha is not meant for the budgest sensitive but it's an experience. You'll feel like a Sultan/a ...try to go on a weekend night. It's very sad to be there with only 2 or 3 other diners. No matter what ...tell them it's a special occassion. You get to wear a fez and get a belly dance lesson. If you get the meal for two ...there is a huge selection and I've always felt that I've gotten my monies worth. ”

“ Totally expensive. I spent about $60 that night and had so little to eat! Basically you are paying for the entertainment of belly dancing and not the food. The menu has no prices on it so they can be charging you as much as they want! The waiters were nice though and the atmosphere was very cozy. ”

“ wonderful interior. one feels that they are dining in the time of the Arabian nights. I think they get the award every year for best place for a 1st date. setting is charming, food is wonderul prices can be high but this is an experience restaurant that delivers good quality and a show. closed Mon. they have musicians playing during the evening and they have belly dancers. Another chance to dine sitting on the floor {although they do have other seats}and eating with your hands ”
