“ share your experienc
Well can I just tell you that 'this is the place" for fast healthy food during lunch. They are friendly, attentive and its relatively quick. I had soup and salad and a drink and it did not break me. The spinach salad was great!
Again let me repeat...great for a quick and fast and healthy lunch. ”

“ I've eaten here several times at several locations and have never been disappointed. The smoked split pea, gazpacho (summer), Southewestern corn chowder and indian lentil are all really fantastic. The gazpacho, in particular, is my favorite. The vegetarian chili ones are just okay (but still inexpensive). One of my favorite, most reliable places for lunch. ”

“
The tortilla soup is really good. It reminds me of an enchilada, but in a soup form. Very tasty and reasonably priced for lunch. ”

“ This soup bar has several locations. I have been only to the one on Second Street near Mission, but I'll review here since they are all the same and this is where all the other reviewers ended up.
The soup ain't that good, unfortunately. In my opinion, it seems to be the thickening agents that are used. Sometimes the soup has a gelatinous look to it. Sometimes it tastes a little like raw flour.
Still, it's cheap, reliable, and serves a good lunch portion, so I understand the draw. However, my recommendation is to go to Whole Foods (4th and Harrison) and get something to go from their soup bar. It's a little pricier, especially any of the soups from the seafood section, but the quality is there. ”

“ I had lunch here not long ago and was really disappointed. I had two kinds of soup and they were both over salted. Neither had standout flavors, but were just plain bland and salty. Too bad, cause soup is good and I love the concept. ”

“ Back in the day, I hired people based on the recipes I knew they would bring over from their former employers. When this place hires someone from Bizou who knows that mushroom soup recipe, I'll let you know. Until then don't go out of your way... ”

“ Consistently good soup. Wonderful that they worry about vegetarian, dairy, low fat, etc., and always have a great variety. From the cold gazpacho to the spicy tortilla--YUM YUM. The brown bread is good and chewy, too. ”

“ Great soups...I have tried several varities. It is more expensive than most soups ---but that is because of the quality ingrdients and being made from scratch...it is worth it whe you MUST have soup. Grab a small sandwhich if soup isn't enough...must try! ”

“ Caters to people who want to grab a quick bowl of soup for take out. Very good soup and a pretty decent variety of them. I tried their corn chowder and really liked it, but it is pretty pricey for what you get. I paid about $7, and I didn't really get full. I think I'll get their largest size next time. ”

“ These soups are great! Very tasty, definitely not the "canned" taste that some restaurants have. This is a good place if you want a quick lunch. It's definitely price-y for soup, but it's worth it! The lunchtime deal they have is actually quite worth it: you can get a soup and 1/2 sandwich for $6 or $7, I believe. My favorite is the southwestern Corn Chowder. I definitely want to go back and try all their soups. ”

“ Take out soups really are delicious, especially popular during these cold rainy months. Flavours are innovative. A bit pricey (medium size 16oz about $5) for the quantity that you get - so I would bypass this place if you are looking for a hearty and filling lunch, or else go for the soup/sandwich combo. ”

“ There are several of these throughout the city and there is at least 1 at SFO. Not a real restaurant but a take out place. Not only do they have warming yummy soups, but for the health conscious they have printouts of the nutritional components of the different soups and the Weight Watchers equivalent points. ”
