Their pastry prices are pretty outrageous but the fruit crisp at $4.50 is a great deal. Honestly I've only gotten it for breakfast, but to have a big serving of baked apples with crumble on top - isn't that really just a healthier version of oatmeal? In summer it's even better when the crisp is with nectarines or peaches. Seek it out! Review #18769

In 2005 (or maybe late 2004) Boulette Larder opened across the way from Frog Hollow, and ever since the competition came into the picture, the line has been much shorter. Frog Hollow sells not only baked goods and coffees, but also some selected fruits as well as fruit preserves, conserves, and jams, which you can sample at the front of the shop. During the peak season, you really do need to pay $4 per pound for some Frog Hollow peaches. They are exquisite. Their fruit-based pastries are really their third specialty, after the peaches and conserves. Try anything with blackberry or peaches, since they will only be available when the fruits are perfectly ripe. Review #14439

Came in here when I went to the farmer's market and they have tempting baked goods waiting for me to eat them up! Tart, crostadas, galette, croissants, cookies, everything! There was a line but that didn't stop me. The fruit tart and the cookies were good!! Will go back and try all the other baked items they have.. Review #14268

Another crowd pleaser at the Ferry Building. Long lines might deter you, but biting into any of their damn tasty baked croissants, cookies, whatever will confirm you've made a wise decision to park your butt in line. Review #5611

Highly reccomended. Well worth the long lines that form on the weekends. There is an incredible variety of wonderful (and warm) fresh baked goods, and they make a good cappuccino to boot. Worth going to the farmers' market if only to stop here. Review #1896

My new favorite cookies come from here: mini cherry-chocolate chip-walnut cookies (and the best value at $2.50 a bag). Everything is organic - pricey, yes, but delicious. The fruit conserves/jams are the best. The pastries are delicious. The service is friendly. And if you haven't been to the refurbished ferry building - go! You can't go wrong in the whole ferry building, though you can spend a lot! Review #1749

This bakery has the best apricot and berry cobbler and you can smell the butter in the air...very enticing on san early Saturday morning before you've had any breakfast. Frog Hollow has the sweetest fruit (fruit stand outside on Saturdays during the farmers market) and thus the sweetest freshly squeezed orange juice. They also sell lots of coffee so be prepared for a long line. Seating is outside but covered...self serve everything. Review #1737
