“
Does anyone else recall that this used to be an Extreme pizza restaurant? When I first saw it had reopened as a sushi restaurant (especially connected to a sports bar), I was skeptical, but the fish is not bad. They have my beloved 49er roll (though it's much better at Ebisu) and ume which is a plus in my book. Nothing has really been exceptional, but it's not bad either. Pricey compared to other neighborhood spots. ”
“Blue Fin sushi, with us
We went there last month for a birthday party and they accommodated our party of a dozen or more. Our orders were brought out rather haphazardly, but that's totally understandable. It seemed like everyone thought their food was quite yummy, and they brought out some real wasabi for us to try, which was cool.”
“delicious and fresh sushi but kinda pricey for me. They really have to work on their service though. Our food came out sooo slow and when we were about to leave, that's when they bring out my order...
”
“This is a tasty sushi restaurant with lots of creative rolls and fresh raw fish. I only tried the fresh fish for the day and several rolls and costed about $60 for two (no alcohol). Worth the money. Service is relaxed.”
“This is the best sushi restaurant in San Francisco. Sit at the sushi bar and talk to sushi chef, Paul. I have no idea how someone spent $135 for two people! I go to Blue Fin twice a month with my hungry boyfriend, order the sashami/sushi specials off the board, and usually walk out between $55 to $75 for two people. They have the widest and most unusual selection and all of the fun designer rolls. Always the freshest fish!”
“The Volcano roll is awesome to have here. The Tobiko, Saba and Suzuki sashimi style was better then the Toro. The waitresses are nice and the service is pretty good too. Overall, it's a nice little place to take someone out for lunch. This place an get pricy if you order the stuff that are in season and you can shell out $135 for two people.”
“The volcano roll was great but the the service was not.
Slow to take our order and the food took a long time to get to us -
the food was warm but not hot.
i would pass”
“Volcano roll is a must! If you want you can watch the game at the sports bar next door and eat your sushi there. Service was very friendly but slow. Fish was fresh and good quality.”
