We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and they charmed us right off the bat by personalizing our menus with our names. I thought that was a cute touch. We chose the tasting menu and it was truly delicious. My husband was very impressed with the lobster reduction, everything was beautifully presented by the highly attentive staff. I felt that the portions were small enough to make it to the end. The restaurant is very pretty, the staff was friendly without being stuffy. We were not impressed with the wine pairing, but overall it is a great place for a special occasion. Review #20944

Oh how I heart Quince! My partner and I went for our anniversary and had perhaps the best of the 12 anniversary dinners so far. The service was impeccable and very friendly. Every dish we ordered was exquisite. Order at least one kind of pasta and any lamb dish they have. They have a nice wine list and great deserts. Quince is a really nice place for a special meal. I was taken here for my birthday recently and it was excellent. We were the first ones in after it opened and by the time we left, every table was taken. The food was wonderful, nicely served and the portions were just right. The ambiance of the place is pleasant and yes, it can be noisy, but that seems to be the way things are now everywhere. Everything I ordered was very tasty and well prepared. Not sure what the final cost was as I was a guest but intend to return as soon as I can. Review #7426

Talk about a time warp! I could only remember Robert chasing me around the back when I went to this place! It's tough to get a reservation for the date and time you want so be flexible. It is delightful and very good but the portions are small. The pastas are just as delicate as could be and the tastes are exquisite. One of my new favorites except for the haunting memories of Robert! Review #5770

This tiny neighborhood restaurant is a nice touch to the city. You think you wandered into a Berkeley spot. The dishes are daily specials and only the freshest products are used to build little monuments on each dish. The Pasta dish was excellent except for the fact that it was not sufficient for the appetite or the size of the plate. The salads were great and not overdress as so many places do to hide the poor ingredient. It seems that the chef here enjoyes building vertical element on almost every plate! Enough already, make the portions a tad larger and you will have more returns! Don't plan on a intimate quiet experience here. It is a little to noisy for being such a small place, and we wanted to leave quickly to reduce our noise level. So if you are looking for a change to super daily fresh, then try this one, it will save you the drive to Berkeley. Review #3498

We had our anniversary dinner and it was really good. The nettle sformato was excellent, as were the pastas: bigoli with goose, and tortelloni with porcini mushrooms. The duck entree was cold and we sent it back. Was ok, tasted too much like Thanksgiving with cabbage and pumpkin. Cheese plate was delicious. Service attentive. They have a chef's table which is great for private parties or special meals. Review #2212
