pizza + beer. What more can you want? For longer than I care to remember I've sought out Golden Boy to sit at the bar with friends, eat a couple of slices of fluffy pan pizza with some great beer and just enjoy. It's tiny. It's simple, a few pizzas to choose from, and it's perfect. ”

| “ Satisfying slice with thick globs of cheesy oozing over the edge, generous juicy toppings, and good amount of tomato sauce. Just avoid late-night on weekends unless youre ready to stand in line for 20 freakin minutes alongside hungry drunkards. If you choose to do so, you'll instantly forgive and forget once you bite into your slice. While in line, be amazed at the amorphous dough-creature that is used as the joints logo. ”

| “ After making that bank shot at Gino and Carlo's, step next door and get a slice of pizza. Along with Cafe Trieste, this is one of my favorite stops in North Beach. Stop by for a quick slice of some of the best pizza in the city when you're out cruising on the sportster. If I run the table in a game of 9 ball, I'll even buy you a slice!

| “ Best pizza spot in North Beach. Big square sheets are cut into large slices and come fresh out of the oven all night long...If it wasn't so good there wouldn't ALWAYS be a line....I beleive that they are "cash only", but whatever they want, just give it to them. It is well worth it...

| “ I've been here several times...I really want to love this place because the combination of Sicilian style pizza, good draft beer, and a relaxed atmosphere with good tunes sounds like the perfect pizza experience....hell the perfect culinary experience. BUT, no matter how many times I try the pizza, it just doesn't win me over. The crust should be the best part of any Sicilian style (square or focaccia square) and every bite should burst with flavor and spice, but all the pizza's here are on the bland side. The pizzas all look really delicious, but they disappoint the taste buds. Still, the beer and the atmosphere make it a fun place to grab a bite. ”

| “ I like the guy that works there on Saturday afteroon because he plays this heavy metal from his Ipod which facinates me. Other than that, the pizza is not living up to the old GB standards. The pesto barely has garlic in it, the combo had so much sauce that the ingredients slid off when you cut it. The service was great and the prices are outstanding. But I'd like them to use a little more care when making the pizza instead of just trying to turn it out as fast as they possibly could. I forgive them also because the last time I went it was pub crawl in North Beach so maybe they were jamming too hard. I've been going there for 27 years though so I would hope that it would be consistent. I'd love to buy that place cause they have the formula down and are probably making a mint! ”

| “ I love Golden Boy. Wish it was open 24/7. It was better back when they played louder music and the pizza girls were hotter but it's still a classic and never fails to deliver when I need a slice and a copy of City Bike (in the newsbox outside). ”

| “ We did a shoot for Ed TV here a few years back, and the owner couldn't dish out the pizza beause the production company thought he didn't look italian enough; how sad.I think it is a toss up between here and Blondies downtown as to who has the best by the slice. It is great that they are open so late. Just go by the window and pick up a slice...so quick and easy, plus it's yummy. ”

| “ I love Golden Boy pizza! The slices are very generous and the dough is nice and chewy. If you end up hanging out late at night in North Beach its a great place to go for a quick bite to eat. You can grab your slice from outside the window and just hang out outdoors to eat it. ”
