“ Love the salads! Every choice you could think of for a salad. I only wish I could get more toppings!! The one thing that I'm not a fan of is that there is always a line, and the people that work there aren't the most efficient. Also, one time I ordered a salad with portobello mushrooms on top, and when I got home to eat it, it had steak... Good thing I'm not a vegetarian! ”

“
A bit on the glorified salad bar approach, if you asked me. Good price for the amount of salad you get but because the way the items are laid out, I didn't see the other options available. The tri tip was dry and chewy and the stuffing was a huge disappointment because it was so tasteless and soggy. ”

“ got a tri-tip sandwich, garlic fries and the broccoli to go. not bad. not the best i've ever had- the meat had some grizzle on it and the slices of bread were a little thick, but they were certainly decent and i got everything quite fast. the order of fries was huge, way more than one person should have. the broccoli was very tastey, but over cooked. it's not a place i would call a first choice, yet i still liked it. and the staff was really nice; very helpful. ”

“ Nice fast meal. Good Fresh Large salads made to order. I like their tri-tip sandwich and usually get garlic curly fries. They also have this spicy onion condiment/sauce in a bottle. Looks weird since it's brown, but I find it a good dipping sauce for my sandwich. Try it.

“ When my friends and I used to work out, we would come straight here after. Why? cause we knew the food was good and the portions were big! Not once have i been disappointed, the service is friendly and full of smiles and their food is quite yum! I mean its not out of this world or anything but it does always gives me the memory of thanksgiving. Their salads are also fresh and crisp. I always get the stuffing...but i think its cause i just love stuffing in general hahaha. Welps if your looking for some delish comfort food or jus want a nice salad this is the place! I think it would be a bit more fun if they played space movies or star trek or something. I dont know maybe it could add to the whole "plutos" theme.

“ I had take out here one time and felt that the food was bland. I had some type of tofu dish that was cooked up with a couple of other healthy items. It is a good concept, but the food quality leaves much room for improvement.

“ Fantastic choose-your-ingredients salad bar. The toppings are always tasty and you let them know how much or little dressing you'd like. You can get the salad topped with flank steak or grilled chicken. delicious. The sandwiches are usually good and they have other comfort foods like roast turkey, mashed potatoes, garlic fries, etc.. but the salads are by far the best thing on the menu.

“ This is a salad joint, so no guarantees on the sandwiches. The portions are very big and the greens and toppings are nice and fresh. And I am loving the flank steak on top. Great value.

“ Plutos is great. Their garlic fries are absolutely delicious and you'll need to chew a pack of gum after eating all that garlic. The sandwiches and salads are really good with the steak. Great food for a good price. ”

“ Yummy, huge salads at a decent price where you can pick seven toppings to add to it! What's not to love about that for someone who is health conscious and hungry? The side mushroom dishes which change daily is tasty too, though sadly I think the portion-size has somewhat diminished of late. The turkey, which I have only had as an add on to my salad is taken right off a whole roasted turkey. I love the idea of Thanksgiving diner out of season, on the fly. The dessert selection could be re-thought Currently there are some standard cookie and baked square affairs, but how about some bread, banana or rice pudding, cobblers and pies to go with the down home fare? ”

“ One of the owner was my neighbor for many years! He and his friend would sit there and drink beer and think about how they were going to make this restaurant work. They both had years of experience with the major hotels in the city's banquet department. From that experience, they pulled together not only an outstanding concept, but also food that is like home-cooking and fast. This place has healthy food from freshly baked turkey to outstanding Caesar salads. The only thing I don't like is no option for table service. I like to be served when dining out but I guess if you are used to never cooking it won't phase you in the least. In summation, for under $10 bucks, you get the Thanksgiving dinner without the annoying relatives. ”

“ To be fair, not one of my friends likes Pluto's. That said, I'll eat there alone. Salads are huge, and who can beat $4 for a dinner-sized one loaded with beets, orange wedges, raisins, apples, jicama, grilled fennel, and so forth? I've been asking the staff for a year if the spicy BBQ sauce will ever be sold retail; it's perfect with the onion rings, and equally good as a condiment for a sandwich. The sides, like stuffing or mashed potatoes, tend to be a step above my mom's yet equally homey. There's one downside: Sometimes Pluto's smells like grill cleaner, a very distinct odor that you might not pick up if you've never worked in food service, but is unmistakeable to anyone who has. ”

“ This place is definitely in *another* universe. The food *looks* good, and the choose-your-own aspect to the salads *should* make it taste good, but the food here is really, really BAD. Have had the misfortune to eat here several times, and it's always been a big, big disappointment...most accurately described as "Ramada dinner buffet food at 15 minutes after closing". ”

“ Plutos offers great salads and numerous home-style mains in a relaxed casual atmosphere. The ordering process is like in a cafeteria, but the food is much better. The salads are custom made with their abundent options, and I've always opted for their fresh carved turkey dinner with all the trimmings when I needed that Thanksgiving itch scratched anytime of the year. Pricing is very inexpensive and you will not leave hungry. I think they also have a location in the Marina I've been to as well. ”

“ I like how this place functions. It's very different from your typical restaurant. You pick up a card featuring all their menu items and bring it to the counter to tell them what you want. They punch your card after your first order (usually a salad), and you proceed down the line to place your second order (sides and sandwiches). I like how they prepare the salads for you in front of your eyes, and you can pick what you want in your salad. The portions are huge! The sandwiches are prepared well. Next time, I need to go for a side. They looked very good. Everything was very fresh...and I'm sure, healthy. ”

“ I love this place. The salads are amazing and tossed fresh as you choose veggies and toppings to customize on the fly, then there are fresh carved meats and tons of side dishes, Thanksgiving style fare. The food is always good, and the portions are abundant. Highly recommended. ”

“ Man, when the carved turkey sanwhich is on, it is really great. Good comfort food served here. After all these years, though, they still seem disorganized and the line can be painfully slow. But man! when that turkey sandwhich is on..... ”

“ This has been open for years and I finally made it it he door, it's 5 blocks from my house. What fun, esp. for lunch. I had a half ceasar w/ roasted eggplant. They ask if you want classic or choice..choice means you can top your salad with 7 items, and it comes with a piece of foccacia or sour dough bread. I could only eat half of my half order, it was HUGE. Next time I'm going for the onion rings, cute little things looked crispy and yummy. we only had waters but there is beer and wine for sale. The grilled portabello looked great also...so fresh and yummy. ”

“ Both locations are great. Friendly service, Thanksgiving type dinner served up hot and fresh everyday (turkey, roast beef, mashed potatoes, garlic fries, gravy, etc.; great salads; micro-brew on tap. Expect to pay around $10 for a full meal.
Special bonus: Pepper plant sauce served- you must try this on your mashed potatoes- it's the best! ”
