You better be drunk when you go here. It's awesome. Try it sober on the other hand and you'll wonder if you should stop drinking. One of a handful of 24 hr places in the city - so who really cares about food quality. Review #17000

fat and grease.. sugar and salt... make everything come back after a day of drinking and drugs.... I did see a mouse scurry across the floor once or twice... and yet, I have gone back many times... they are there when you need them- a true junk food friend that Sparky... all night long! GREAT MUSIC variety. Review #13391

I went to Sparky's three times one Christmas. It's helped me out after late night clubbing adventures, during a recent period of mourning and through countless comfort food cravings. It's a total gem. It's the perfect diner. Cheap, delicious, convenient. I just wish they delivered to Noe Valley. Review #13307

This is still a favorite in the center of town. It is basic diner food open 24 hours. They have a great cheap lunch menu with tons of great comfort food. Mac n chz, spicy chicken sandwiches and chili are some of my favorites. Friendly laidback staff. It's an experience going in after 2am. A totally different side to SF, worth the visit. Review #12030

I'll admit, I didn't actually 'eat' anything there, but the shakes are truly wonderful, and they've got a great, large, creative selection of them. And there's the 24 hour thing. Review #10625

I guess the only real complaint I have about this place is that it makes me feel really old. The after club scene is really out in full force here. I don't have a lot of occasions to eat after midnite, but every once in a while, it happens. Very respectable diner fair. Nothing that's going to change your life, but some decent choices at ok prices. It's also fun to see what the twenty something crowd is up to these days. Review #10515

good place if you have a large crowd and it's late. some of the staff is very friendly some is not so friendly. some of the food is great and some is not so great. the place is hit or miss. you're safe with the eggs, however you get them. definite diner food. Review #10475

Sparky's is pretty good. Lots of diner options, and the fact that they are 24 hours is really cool. $1 beers during happy hour ~ what is not to like? The prices are a bit high, and none of the food is overly tasty- but it is satisfying and filling. Plus, you can always stop one door down at "Just desserts" to finish off your meal. Review #9963

YEZZZZZZZ! FABULOUS! This is one of the best "after the bar closes where do we go now?" places. Lets face it there isn't much left after a bar is closed here in SF unless you are at an after party or a hush hush absinth event. For those of you who are still stupid enough to do coke you'll be up but you won't be hungry. So don't bother reading this. This is a must for those who smoke or drink the dog! Sparky's is great for diner food. The waits staff is friendly, hip and they will even get your order right. The staff is almost as good as the espresso milk shakes! Its like watching a what will be hip in the near future fashion show. Those kids are so cute! They look like cartoons. The burgers are cool, the frys are good, my gal didn't like the soup though. If you want a vegetarian dish they murder veggies well there (they scream when you cut them). Not a place for a strict diet but you can order off the menu on a few things and they will accommodate you. It is mostly about fun! Review #8131

Greasy spoon, noisy as hell, not a great place if you need to mellow out after clubbing, but kinda fun otherwise. The crowd, menu and staff is somewhat surreal, trippy. Review #7731

One of the best options for 24 hour dining in this area. Can be really packed late night on weekends serving to the apres-clubbing folks. Very solid diner fair and good breakfast, not nearly as greasy as other diners. Great people watching. Personal favorite is their spicy cajun chicken sandwich, it packs serious heat. Review #6930

Nothing new here...A GREAT 24 hour spot with classic diner food. Definitely a good option 3:00 am in the morning. I've had their burgers and their greasy breakfasts and they all hit the spot. I think we all love the spots that are open when we need them most, and this is one of them. Review #6522

At best, Sparky's is an OK option when there's nothing else open. The food is so-so even for diner food and the staff often seems distracted/forgetful/unhappy. I always prefer Bagdad Cafe -- it's a little more expensive, but it has better atmosphere, outside tables, and a friendlier staff. Review #5766

Awful food! But they do deliver late in case you need cold greasy fries and a malt at 3AM. Steak is full of phat and it's overpriced. Boring! Review #4385
