“ What a difference a couple of blocks makes. If you liked the Lori's on Powell, you will despise this one. The service was rude, the place is not clean, and in perhaps the worst dining surprise ever, the retro red plastic cups are not being cared for correctly, and therefore had a hideous glaze of black spotty mold in the bottom, which only revealed itself once I reached the bottom of my drink which I had been hard pressed to get refilled, until I noticed the evil badness lurking at the bottom, at which time I didn't care for one. Inshala, they will go under soon, and a more noble use can be made of the cool old candy machine and groovy candy apple red metalflake vinyl booths. Avoid!

“ i came here because it was 3:00 in the afternoon and i wanted breakfast food. i'd never been to a lori's before, but i'd heard the only thing to really come here for is breakfast. i ordered the corned beef hash with eggs. other than it being too salty, it was fine. decent sized portions. not greasy. the waitstaff there was super friendly. attentive when i needed them to be. the atmosphere wasn't particularly attractive, but i would have breakfast there again. ”

“ I'm not a Lori's fan but my husband likes it. They fry fish in the same oil as fries, they are often out of diet coke. If I'm dragged here I'll get a sundae rather than sulk, but I try to head off any discussion of going here. The Mason Street location is less crowded than the Powell Street, but I think it's also more depressing. ”

“ Desperate times call for desperate food. We stopped in here after a long day of shopping, we tried a few other places but the wait was too long so we settled for Lori's. Lori's is the typical diner. If your starving and can eat fried food then this is the place for you. We were so hungry that everything we ordered tasted great. The service was very nice and accommodating. I kinda felt like I was in Happy Day's which was fun. I agree with the other reviewers but my hunger level at the time pushed Lori's up from a neutral to a positive ;) ”
