“
After hearing so many bad things about the service at MOMO's, I really feel I need to write this review to explain what MOMO's is all about. MOMO's is about the SF Giants. Period. That's it. It's not about fine dining, 5 star service or innovative recipes. Now that baseball is back I am so looking forward to hanging out there. It's really just all about hanging out, drinking beer, flirting with the guys, and getting into as much trouble as possible before the game. If the Giants win then the partying continues after the game. If you're really hungry then order the fried calamari at the bar or better yet, save your $20.00 for an overpriced hot dog at the yard. But don't look to compare this place with other dining establishments. It is what it is and it's a lot of fun if you get into the spirit of the game! ”

“
Good pizza and good crab salad, plus the Giants players show up there after weeknight games! Brunch is pretty good. The location is one of the best things about this place... if you want to go on a weekend that is a Giants game, you really need a reservation. ”

“ I just had a mediocre experience at MoMo's, but since I am a huge Giants fan and I work two blocks away, I am sure that I will go back. Five of us went there for lunch. The ahi appetizer was really good (and big); the bruschetta was strange...it had roasted veggies and some kind of meat, instead of just tomatoes and cheese and basalmic vinegar, but it was tasty. We ordered drinks and water, but never received waters. One person ordered a sandwich with a salad instead of fries and ended up getting chips. When she asked for her salad they brought her a totally separate side salad. My friend and I ordered two sandwiches that we wanted to split, but the waiter only heard us request one sandwich. The fries were pretty good, but the pulled pork sandwich had too much sauce for my liking. I will go back, but mainly because of location. Also, I believe that every restaurant can have a bad day. ”

“ Had a wonderful time here for dinner with friends. The atmosphere is elegant, but fairly casual. Plenty of room for large parties in big booths that seem to seat 7 or two private to semi-private rooms. There are also a row of 2 seater banquettes perfect for a little face to face with your sweetie. The hostess was welcoming and our server helped make the experience delightful with excellent recommendations and a thorough knowledge of wines and specials, very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive.
Great selection of salads and sandwiches at lunch (which I've had before), but their entrees really stand out. The pot roast seemed like it had been slow cooked for hours and had a great homemade flavor. The Gumbo, while not quite authentic, was full of fresh tasting seafood and sausage. We also tried the 16oz Ribeye with an AMAZING twice baked potato umm umm umm and the Sea Scallops with asparagus risotto that was cooked to perfection. dessert consisted of an OH MY GOD pumpkin pie, sin ”

“ My friends took me on my birthday. I like the atmosphere, the hostess was very nice. The food was really good. I had the seared ahi with wasabi mashed potatoes. I sampled the NY strip steak which was really good. Our waiter was pretty slow even though the place was fairly empty but overall I'd go again.

“ While I love the mac and cheese here, I have a problem with the service. I have been several times and it always seams to be lacking. We went on a Sun and sat in the bar, place was empty and still no service. Went at lunch, place is packed, service was SLOW. Went before a game and of course it was packed, slow service. The best service I have had here was for drinks on the patio. I think the food is good, they just need to work with the staff! They do have a good happy hour.

“ Had dinner here before Cirque du Soleil. My girlfriends meatloaf was as tasty as my chops were tasteless. Friendly and helpful bar staff but the dining part was a non-event. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. For a place touted as an up-market destination it was something of a disappointment. ”

“ It was nice to get a table right away on a Friday night, but overall not a great experience. Started with a really nice onion soup and a decent ceasar salad. I got the roast chicken. The thigh meat was bloody and the breast meat was dry and it was way over herbed. The mashed potatoes were not hot and the spinach was blah. The apple tart with caramel sauce was tasty enough. Service was pleasant, but there is nothing here that makes me want to come back. ”

“ We had the ahi tar tare with that green tobiko--not too shabby. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was also very nice. They moved us once a larger, hungrier table showed up. The buffalo chicken sandwich is very good, as is the Cobb salad. I'd rather have both kidneys harvested than be here on a game day. ”

“ GREAT location, everything else is so so. The owners used to own the Washington Bar and Grill which I like, but the food here has been mediocre. The drinks are okay, I think sticking with the beers on draft is a better and cheaper option(grab the Fat Tire amber ale). I've tried their steaks, calamari, their brunch items, and everything has been so so. I think Momos lives off it's location right across from SBC Park. I know I paid $45 to park here during the playoffs which was a turnoff, but it's right across from where the Giants play ball. Worth grabbing a drink before the game or after the game...destination restaurant, I don't think so. ”

“ Drinks---not so good...unless your drinkin' beer..then i would say go elswhere---this place is too $$$$. The happy hour is decent. 5:30-8:40pm M-F (not during games OF COURSE :)$3 pizza/garlic fries/and a few other items. Service is inconsistant and I don't really get into the whole vibe of it. It IS packed during the game though. ”

“ The only way you can carry on a conversation in here is to call your dinner companion on their cell phone. The place is not for a romantic one on one! Menu is typical couple steak, salmon, etc, no signature dishes, good thing is that the drinks are quick and made well! Moderately priced expect about 30 per person with a drink or with bottle of wine! Reminds me of up scale chain restaurant. Good before the Giants game, no other reason to return! ”
