Neutral Cuisine: French Swiss Santa Rosa
One of the pillars of old Railroad Square, (since 79)this tiny old style continental restaurant has an old time following. The food here is old style comfort food. Samarati hit it on the head by talking about the age gap! This is a once a year type of place for me, I go just to see if it has changed any and every year I keep forgetting why I come there. They don't do anything fantastic, it's kind of the upscale Olive Garden that lost it's franchise. The help has been there for years (it's family) some of which should no longer be in the business. The only positive thing I can say is that it is very reasonable price wise. But remember what they say, you get what you pay for. All in all, it is a must visit, but not necessarily a must return. Oh the veal picatta is the best item on the menu. The other positive aspect is that it is cozy, and you can actually carry on a intimate conversation here, hear? Review #19621

Neutral Cuisine: French Swiss Santa Rosa
A Santa Rosa landmark for 35 years & it hasn't changed an iota. Your grand-parents will love it, if you're younger than 30, you will not. Back in the '70's this was THE french restaurant in Santa Rosa. Now it's old & Old-fashioned fuddy-duddy french food. Starchy Beef Wellington, fake saucy veal cordon bleu, occasionally sauted frog legs - Why bother?, nobody really likes frog legs... I love french food. I go to Europe every year to re-visit France & Italy. I speak french fluently. This place does not evoke Parisian memories or food lust. I've eaten here 10 times since 1975, I like it less every occasion. It's one of my father-in-law's favorite places so I grin & bear it. Review #19581
