“ Block out a good chunk of time and make sure you are with someone that you really like. The souffles are cooked to order (which takes a looong time). This is a very good anniversary spot, or a "I wanna make a really good impression" spot. The waiters were very helpful in helping us decide what would best suit our palettes and our stomach capacity. The salads are a little lack luster when it comes to getting enough bang for your buck, but they are still good..just don't expect too much in quantity. ”

“ Wow! The souffles are quite amazing here. It is a very romantic place that is on the small side. One souffle was more than enough to share for the entree. The dessert souffles are huge and could feed about 6 people. We barely made a dent in our chocolate souffle. The service is very french and a little on the terse side. Great date place.

“ delightful Frothy Creations arrive at your table as irresistible delectable masterpieces, sweet or savory, at Jacqueline's little restaurant hidden on upper Grant. There is an essence of purety to Jacqueline's cooking which arrives directly to your palate and soul. A trip to the WC through the kitchen reveals the wonderous french artiste cooking in all her splendour with a mountain of eggs in a giant copper kettle. This marvelous little chef produces fabulous souffles which are truly secret culinary treasures of San Francisco. Simply choose a savory souffle for dinner (such as the spectacular salmon souffle with asparagus and gruyere topped with paper-thin lemon slices) and a sweet souffle for dessert (such as the incredible lemon custard so delicious you want to lick the bowl). While waiting for Jacqueline to create her masterpieces, try a delicious spinach salad and the state-of-the-art onion soup. delicious wines and warm service will have you waltzing out of the place. A miracle ”

“ Yes, this is one of the most romantic spots in town, and we have been indulging in the superlative souffles for almost 20 years now. My 88-year-old father from Texas must visit his dear Jacqueline each time he is in town. We try to go with a group of 6 diners (OK, so more practical than romantic) so we can share 2 savory souffles (always including salmon if in season and one of the veggie versions) and 2 desserts, always including chocolate and the recommended fruit. Reserve well in advance and budget plenty of time for this luxuriously decadent dining experience. Oh yes, and don't forget the onion soup. We usually share one and share a salad because the soup is quite rich. But yummy! ”

“ Nice place, small, romantic settings. It may be that i'm not a fan of souffles, but they didn't knock me off my feet. Or maybe it was just too much souffle for a single night :-) Still i'll go there again hoping it was just an off night.

“ Earns its reputation as the city's most romantic restaurant. Charming decor and the souffles are amazing. Share a savory one for dinner and leave room for the chocolate souffle for dessert. It's like a spoonful of chocolate-flavored air. Memorable. ”

“ This is one of those San Francisco oddities that make this city what it is. All souffles -- and all produced by this one woman standing in a space slightly larger than a phone booth, with a giant bowl of eggs and a big whisk. The souffles are fantastic, and the atmosphere is quaint, dark, and romantic. Oh, and don't worry -- there are a couple of salads on the menu too. Very french salads. ”

“ Amazing is a good word. The lime souffle is AMAZING! We got that one by accident once, and now we order it intentionally every time. This place is a favorite. I guess I have a soft spot for tiny cozy unusual places. And souffles. And these are good ones! pricy, and worth it. bring a date! ”
