“ When my roommate described some sandwiches to me via the cellphone, I was turned off, however he brought me a shredded chicken and a shredded pork vietnamese sandwich from Lee's. I was awed at the flavor explosion in my mouth. I have since tried at least 4 varieties and am going back to try some more tomorrow. I believe the cost is about 2/$5 (vietnamese sandwiches). I recommend this place for 1 main reason, the TASTE EXPLOSION of flavors no matter WHAT sandwich you get. A fresh piece of cilantro, some marinated carrot strips, onion and just the right amount of jalapeno and (special sauce?) soy sauce, make this a winner! Oh and did I mention they bake their own baguettes daily? ”

“ My bar-b-q pork sandwich was not good at all-the bread was dry, the meat, what there was of it, was a neon cherry red, very gristly and had no real taste. Although I didn't have any, there was an intriguing list of smoothie flavors and bubble drinks, etc. In addition to the vietnamese sandwiches, they have some American style sandwiches. The place is full of an interesting array of neon day-glo colored foods, wrapped to go, but basically, I didn't know what many of them were. The after school crowd of neighborhood kids do seem to know what they are so maybe if I decide to go again, I'll time my visit so I can see what the kids go for. ”

“ Yes, I actually cheated on my favorite ladies over at Saigon Sandwich by visiting the shiny new competition on the block.
The place is huge, with plenty of tables for eating and has a larger variety of sandwiches, baked goods and deli items. I was impressed at the size of the sandwiches at first, but one bite and ehhh...not that great. Odd since their baguettes are baked on site, but the bread tasted very starchy and dry and the chicken was full of gristle.
I also brought home a pint full of a dessert soup made of coconut milk, cubes of taro and yam. Again, slightly disappointing since it was overly sweet.
I might stop by again to pick up some vietnamese style mochi and other deli items, but for the sandwiches, I'm staying true to Saigon ”

I ordered a Grilled Pork sandwich and it was not good at all. Very greasy..did not look like grilled pork at all. The restaurant is nice and new and a pleasant place to eat...i got to go... I am sure I just picked the wrong sandwich...but....maybe I will give them another try......Another person tried the combination sandwich and said it was good..so.... ”

“ Run don't walk! The chain has come to San Francisco. Don't be confused with the Lee's in downtown San Francisco. This is the vietnamese sandwich store with so much more. They bake their own bread, soft and crusty in all the right places. They have a deep fried sticky rice with coconut wrapped banana that would send you to cloud 9! They have fresh fruit, pastries, and salads. "Oh, Snap!" they have a green Papaya salad with beef jerky! ”
