“ We first tried this place only as take out fried donuts. They were good so we decided to go in and eat. When we went there for lunch, we didn't find it as impressive. We ordered the dumplings and potstickers and we realized they actually use the exact same filling. There are better dumplings than this place. Although lunch wasn't too good, the take out fried donut is still really good. So try those first. ”

“ If you like dumplings and soup noodles, I would definitely suggest going here. The steamed and the boiled dumplings are filling and quite delicious, as are the noodles with the pork and the choy. The onion pancakes are nice and crispy and all greasy-fried like. And the donuts are great for when you or your loved ones make some jook. I have to admit, I like the dumplings better at San Tung and Koi palace, and Shanghai Dumpling King lately, but you still can't go wrong with Taiwan Restaurant. ”

“ I love this place! Here's what you need to try: * Dry Braised String beans * Fried Chicken with garlic sauce * Lion's head (Meat balls with vermicelli soup) * Hot and sour soup I've been going to this place for years and they're rock solid! I'm jealous of the folks who've tried the fried donuts, I'll make sure to try those the next time I'm there. ”

“ The food are average. I won't go out of my way if I don't live in the neigborhood. I used to live in the vicinity, that is how I know about this restaurant. I went there once for lunch and it wasn't impressive at all and I never go back. ”

“ I liked it. Really enjoyed the "dry braised string beans"-it was (surprisingly) delectable. The tofu wasn't as yummy (First tofu dish on the menu) but the spinach and tofu soup (made vegetarian) was also delicious. Worth checking out! My friend has been visiting there everytime she's come to SF (she's from the East Coast) and loves their dim sum. :) ”
