Los Gatos |
“ A nice find in quiet Los Gatos is Crimson. This tiny elegant place has room for about 40, so the noise level is low enough to be able to carry on a private conversation with out hearing your neighbor slurp his tomato soup. We started with the foie gras which was served with passion fruit and toasted macadamia nuts, simply superb! No Caesar was available so the spinach salad came with a great warm pomegranate dressing with pancetta in place of the usual bacon bits! For entrees we both had the fresh hawaiian Ono, which was the correct choice for one of the most flavorful fish around! The service was ok, a little slow which was due to one staff member not showing up for work (really?) but the food made up for any inconvenience associated. On Sundays it allows you to bring your own bottle without any corkage fee. So, if you are cruising around the area wineries and purchase some wine, this would be a great place to come for dinner! During summer it also has outside seating! ”
