“After reading all the raves & praise about this place, I'm not too impressed with the Yukon Gold potato , Rosemary pizza that we had yesterday.
The flavors are good. But, the crust is a little too chewy and the oil level is too high. It's good quality olive oil, but there is too much of it.
Nice people, friendly old hippies, just like me.
Still, I prefer Zachary's Oakland College Ave pizza more than this place.”
“a combination of two of my loves, amazing cheese and pizza, the cheese store is something to behold, you can try samples of anything in the case, the pizza is so good, lots of fresh interesting ingredients, and really tasty crust, never oily or flavorless. i'd eat there more often, but you definitely pay for the quality with the price of the pie.

“The Cheeseboard makes a ridiculously delicious pizza with operating hours that are way too short. I try and convince myself whenever I'm in the 510 to make that trek up University Avenue to grab some pizza and some of their yummy cheese rolls at the bakery. A decent selection of cheese, but you can do much better at Cowgirl in the Ferry Building. The crust on their one pizza style of the day is perfectly crunchy and chewy with a fantastic balance of cheese and toppings. You always get a bonus slice with a half or full pie. Wish we had a spot like this in the City... I'm a USC fan and i'll make that trek into enemy Cal territory...the pizza really is that good.”
“Awesome pizza. They only make 1 kinda of pizza a day, but it changes daily. Its ALWAYS busy and ALWAYS good. If you want to avoid the lines you can grab a pizza to go at the cheeseboard (cheese & bread shop) next door and take it home to warm up.

“Best pizza in Berkeley! The crust is perfect, it's all gourmet vegetarian, and very fresh ingredients! It's a place I always have to stop by whenever I'm in town!”
“They close when they run of pizza so you know their pizza must be THAT good. Good mix of cheese and ingredient's. Perfect crust. Line gets extremely long so don;t be surprised.”
