Positive Cuisine: French (Bistro) Mediterranean Sonoma
We sat outside at a table in the patio area on a gorgeous afternoon. We were lucky as we had no reservations. Everything we ordered was beautifully plated and tasted so fresh. I had the seasonal and very tasty heirloom tomato salad with melon. Then the Rib eye which was delicious. The wine list was great and the staff were knowledgeable. Looking forward to going again and perhaps stay at the hotel. They have a tiny pool. Review #21229

Positive Cuisine: French (Bistro) Mediterranean Sonoma
Bambie & I decided to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary here, a good decision. Thoroughly up-scale Sonoma Plaza tourist hotel restaurant. Cuisine is Cali-fusion. My extremely creamy cesar salad dressing was contrasted by the piquant tapenade toast. Bambie had the osso buco. I had the roast chicken. Flavors were interesting, vibrant, distinctive. Prep perfect. Sides of lentils & Yukon golds were great comfort food. Chef worked @ the french Laundry. He paid attention while he was there. desserts actually were the highlight. My ice cream sandwiches were delightful. The caramel & fudge chocolate dipping sauces were extremely rich. Bambie had a fresh peach-strawberry-vanilla ice cream, almond granita with pistachio crumble dusting. It was incredibly refreshing. Oversized plates belie the portions that looked small. Optical illusion - We were stuffed! Wines are mostly local boutique bottles. Typical mark-up. We ate on the pretty outdoor patio. Total damage - $155 plus tip. Review #19927
