Chloe's scrambled egg dishes are my favorite thing to get. I can't understand why so many breakfast places can't make a tender moist egg. The soups are always great, the quality breads are always fresh, bacon is crisp, mimosas are boozy, and the carrot cake is juicy. I just don't mind waiting for breakfast that is a step above the rest. Review #20681

All time favorite breakfast place. But it's also everyone else's. It only seats a few people inside - be prepared to wait it out. The service may seem a bit surly - but the waitresses grow on you over time. They are serious professional who get people in and out. I love the bran muffins and the egg dishes. The salads are great options for lunch. Review #16996

Chloe's is terribly overrated. The wait is loooong. The wait staff seems frazzled. The food is mediocre. Everything I ordered was over-cooked and pretty tastless. It's a mystery to me why people continue to wait up to an hour for this kind of over-priced food...try Park Chow, maybe. Review #14019

Had Saturday breakfat here at 10 am . Wait was about 30 minutes, not too bad...especially since there only about 8 tables in there. I had the avacado and fontina scramble with home fries and rosemary sourdough toast...VERY yummy even if it was a very simple dish. The others with me had the grilled brie crossiant---it looked AWESOME...except the tomatoes added to it...they looked flavourless and mushy. The other had the chef salad...which was huge and quite lovely. Service was quick and efficient. It was good but nothing amazing that i would go back anytime soon. Review #12757

you must have breakfast here. it's good food and a good price. go early or else you'll be waiting for a while. if it's raining, bring an umbrella because there isn't anything to stand under while you wait. i had a really nice scramble and my friend had fantastic pancakes. we waited about 20 or 25 minutes i think, but it was worth it. Chloe has massive quantities but their food is OK. they don't substitue eggs for egg whites or egg beaters and only have scrammblies. Review #10120

Get your basic needs here...for lunch or brunch. Your salad could have come from a salad bar in any diners from everywhere in the US. The low price is worth, but how about the long wait and rude service? Review #9195

What are you waiting for? I MEAN WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU ALL WAITING FOR? When you get there after parking or even if you walked as I do you will notice that there is a line. "Wow this place is busy"...I said to myself, "It must be great!". So 30+ minutes later after some people gave up and got crossed off the list it was my turn. By the time I got in there I was so hungry I could eat the waitress! They frown on that sort of thing in Noe Valley so I sat down to look at the menu and make my choices. The smell of grease filled th tiny cafe like fatback floating with wings to my nose. The menu looked like a fusion between a bagel joint and Mels Diner. I have been there 5 times. The service was OK, the location was OK. You may wait to long for uneventful food. Come now, San Francisco is a glorified food park. There is no reason to ever pay to much for, or wait for Diner type breakfast food. Close your eyes, it could be Mels. Is anyone else wondering why all these people are waiting? Review #8129

The wait wasn't too bad. It was nothing compared to the wait at Dottie's which is where i really wanted to go last Sunday. We ended up at Chloe's because all my friends blab about how good it is. While i did thoroughly enjoy my pancakes and my eggs- scrambled with fontina cheese (YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM), the bacon SUCKED. It's a cute place and seems to have a loyal following which i can appreciate, i think next time i'm just gonna wait it out at Dottie's. Review #8107

Hmmmm, I must be missing something. There is the smell of mildew in the air. They only offer scrambled eggs (although the are done quite well). The baked goods are just average. The bacon is not good?!?! Paper thin and only tastes like fat. Ho hum tea. The service is friendly. It seems to me that the food is not terribly loved here. Just get'em in, get'em fed and get'em out. I suppose this would be a good enough spot if you lived within a block or two. I'd rather get in the car and drive to Liberty Cafe up in Bernal Hts. Two pet peeves. "sorry" we don't take credit cards (it's 2005, raise your menu prices the 2% if you must and get with the program) and "sorry", no substitutions. As my momma says "if you were sorry, you wouldn't have done it" or in the words of George Costanza, "you can put your sorrys in a sack" As you can see, I look forward to my weekend brunches and don't like them messed with. I am rambling now...... Review #7906

Living three blocks from this place does nothing for my waistline. I end up here at least once a weekend, get a scramble (the blueberry lemon muffin is SUPERB!) have my coffee and read my magazine. I guess one could say it's a little on the expensive side for coffee, eggs and potatoes, but it is SO GOOD you kind of learn to live. Plus, they come around with coffee refills like they want you to float away on a caffiene dream. Love it! Review #6766

I think I am the only one, but I was actually not that impressed. After waiting a very long time we finally got seated. I am actually used to more choices on the menu. They didn't even have a benedict! I ordered scrambled eggs with avocado and cheese. The best part was the croissant. The home fries were a little too greasy for me. Last time the wait was this long we went to Fattoush - I will be doing the same next time. Review #5081

I've never been disappointed coming here through the years. Though, the wait is a bit too much sometimes as they have very few tables. The wait staff if friendly and the food is very consistent...you'll walk away content every time. Try the croissant french toast...absolutely decadent! Review #1732
