“ Destination since the late 1970's. We had lunch. Sat on the front porch dining area. Nice sunny day. Place was full at 1:00 PM. Gracious greeting, immediate seating. Service staff are pure professionals, prompt, well spoken, dressed nicely. Lunch menu is just a few items. Interesting assortment of seafood, meat, and a vege creation. Barbara had sea scallop salad. I had spinach stuffed chicken leg with chard and creamed potato. Started with a good cream of asparagus soup. We drank Verdad Rose from San Luis Obispo. (Recommended). Bay Wolf is considered by many locals to be equal to Chez Pannise. That's a stretch of imagination. Bay wolf is good, but not at the same level of creativity nor control of flavors. My swiss chard was supposed to be piquant with balsamic vinegar, it was doused and unedible. Chicken was okay, but the somewhat bitter spinach had no spicing before being stuffed into the leg, not really creative nor succulent. Maybe it was an off day in the kitchen. ”
