“ Um, it's okay. The pro is that it is super fast. It is fairly bland though, definitely a to-go place. It's like the Quizno's of mexican food. ”

“ I like this place. It's not perfect, and yes, *of course*, lacks a certain authenticity, but it's better than most chain food. It is a bit strange in its inconsistency, though. The salt can be way too salty sometimes (and this is coming from a true salt lover) and the tortillas are sometimes downright gummy. But I like the romaine lettuce and varieties of salsas that they'll add to your burrito. The crispy tacos are a nice alternative when you're not in a silver torpedo mood. And it's CHEAP. ”

“ I was not a big fan of Taco Bell until I've tried the burrito at this place. I exagerate a bit....Let me just put it this way. This fast food joint could only survive in a neighborhood (Downtown) without real, authentic mexican food. If it were in the Mission, this place would close in a second.

“ Predictable, formulaic mexican fast food. For the same money, check out Si Senor on 2nd, or Maya's to go. The hint of lime in the chips is nice. ”

“ Maybe I'm spoiled by my tacos con todos at La Taqueria or my super steak and prawn burritos @ Pancho Villas and El Toro, but this place was just bland. I know it's part of the Mickey Dees chain, and I like the golden arches from time to time, but my burrito was utterly boring. I've tried another location in the peninsula and had similar results. I would put it on par with La Salsa, but I wouldn't go there craving mexican. ”

“ This is like a burrito place where the flavors have been toned down for the palates of middle America. If this McDonalds owned chain hasn't invaded the red states it looks like they will soon. People, this city has a zillion authentic mexican restaurants, you can find a decent burrito on almost every corner. I guess if you like Starbucks for your coffee you will like Chipotle for your 'burrito'. ”

“ I tried this spot maybe a year or more ago. Yes the food is fresh...and the burritos are big... but it was also tasteless. Not sure if it was the flour tortilla or what but I was completely unimpressed. I prefer the gummy flour tortillas it keeps the whole burrito together :0) Anyway I would never return on purpose, even in that area there must be a yummy taqueria somewhere. ”

“ Discovered this little place by accident...Wow - do they have something going on here, perfectly spiced chicken, beef, or pork in these giant flour tortillas with always fresh & ready black or pinto beans and any other toppings of your pleasing. The fajita burrito is also a nice change to your typical burritto with sauteed veggies and beans. All for about $5. Yeah you can do better in the Mission, but it's pretty darn good food in the financial district/SoMa area. ”

“ Their food is great. Very very fresh like the other reviewer pointed out. But, the prices are a bit high esp. compared with all of the local taquerias you could go to instead. They also don't give you chips with your burritos. But, if you are downtown far from any local taqueria, they are a good choice. ”

“ Yep, this place is owned by McDonalds. You would never know it from the quality of the food. First, they don't steam the burrito tortillas into gummy submission like the majority of the area taquerias do, they grill them. All the ingredients seem of high quality. The meat is not like anything you find at the clown's place and in many cases not as scary as a lot of the local favorites. All the salsas are great (beware the hot is really quite hot). I don't agree with the reviewer above that the flavors are "toned down" here. Doesn't sound like that reviewer has ever been here or would be willing to try, oh well. Overall, much better than any of the chain mexican places like it and gives a lot of the local fast mexican/taquerias a run for their money. ”

“ I've been to chipotle in other areas of the country. And was happy to hear - it finally opened in SF. It is always a good bet when you are hungry for cheap mexican. The portions are huge for the price. Everything is always fresh - I've heard that they don't even have a freezer there. I usually order the soft tacos - because the burritos are just TOO big. I went there for lunch midweek and it was busy but the line went fast. ”
