“ Fun Fun Fun! This place is really fun for celebrating with a big group over tapas and sangria. It has an upbeat atmosphere, dim lighting and music that makes for a good time. I really like their sangria and other mixed drinks and fried platanos. ”

Great for groups or birthday party...the sangria is absolutely delicious and guaranteed to give you a hangover. Longer wait time on the weekends for a table but overall great food and fun...

Personally, I don't care for Cha Cha Cha. The food is okay but I'm not crazy about it. The sangria is good but this place is always packed. I love tapas and I've had way better in SF. ”

“
Get ready! This one is gonna be mean. Ok lets talk about food. It can be ok...sometimes. It is a fusion bar. Not an authentic experience. Salty and full of vitamin "F" (Fat). But don't go for the food! Go to reconnect with all those snobby high school cheer leaders you missed out on sleeping with. Yup! They will be there and they will be drunk and oh so fun now! Just like high school! The atmosphere is thick with knuckle heads that are either bridge and tunnel bratts from Walnut creek or culturally inept creeps from the marina. Lookin for some tail. Guess what? It may not be on the menu but it is certainly available. Let face it.The really positive thing I can get from the Cha Cha Cha on Valencia is the Sangria. That's tasty. But I can find an alchohal support group anywhere in town. I would like some good food too. So go down the street if you want real tapas. Go to 3295 22cnd St. go to Esperpento.
When you call (415) 282-8867 please mention you saw them on sfSurvey.com ”

“ I like both locations- they're fun and loud featuring great music. The tapa portions are American sized and two tapas is too much for two people. If you want variety, order the main dishes that feature sides and share them. ”

“ Food is overrated, the whole experience overpriced given the crappy service. Expect much attitude if you are a large group that "overstays its welcome" and if you are a small group that the waitress won't make much money on.

“ Was here recently with a rather large groups - they seated us in the back room which was nice but the service seemed to forget us at times. Solid dishes, nothing super spectacular, except maybe the calamari, which I tend to be partial too. The servers need a little additional training though - all the dishes seemed to go to the same spot at the end of the table instead of being distributed, leaving the other end waiting for all of the dishes. ”

“ I keep swearing i will not come here again and then getting dragged by others, but this time i really mean it. $30 for a small pitcher of tasteless margaritas? are you kidding me???
the food i had was ok. way overpriced but fine. Our hostess was so in your face and neurotic it was truly repellant and we should have taken it as a sign and moved on. they stuck us in the back room and totally ignored us and acted like it was a privilege to be seated when we had made a reservation! but the 30 dollar pitcher was just too much. especially when they didn't put the price on the menu so the bill was a huge shock. because jesus, its the mission! where you can get good margaritas everywhere! insanity.

Completely different from the one in the Haight. This is less of a scene, food is better. Food overall is average for tapas. Service was good but i've been a number of times and each time, they seem to want you out as quickly as possible to make room for the next table. best to make a reservation unless you want to wait forever. although drinking the sangria for an hour before hand while you wait definitely makes the food taste better. ”

“ All in all, an ok meal, but waaaay too much BUTTER. Oil, too. Everything was coated in it, and I like butter and oil generally. Just not a swimming pool of it with a carrot drowning in it. It's overpriced and not worth the bother, but if you must have tapas, this is one of the only places in the city where you can have it.

“ 5:30 PM: Um...can we get a *smaller* table for our party of seven? It's best not to walk in without reservations I guess. Unmemorable food, though I liked the shrimp with saffron. The sangria was nothing to write home about, but I did like the ginger drop, which was like a lemon drop, but spicy and not as sweet. ”

“ I have been to both the Haight and Mission locations, the food in Haight is much better, the decor in the mission location makes it a very loud bar with no ambience , no differentiating factor about it, the wait staff is haight is to put it mildly RUDE, due to the high demand of this place they forget that they are in customer service. the food was good but did not compensate for the bad service. All in all a very bad experience. ”

“ Love the tapas at Cha Cha Cha...some of my favorites are the ceviche, warm spinach salad, and the shrimp dish with this yummy dipping sauce! The sangria is also very good! The only down fall is they don't take reservations for small parties. There is always a long wait on the weekends. Best time to go is on the weekdays for happy hour. ”

“ You will enjoy Cha Cha Cha if * you like variety and good tasting tapas,
*you don't mind the noise factor, because it can get rather boisterous and loud, *you can let your hair down after some Sangria, *ready to have a good time and go with the flow, the seafood tapas are worth a try. I think the prices are reasonable with pretty decent sized portions, alot bigger than many other places I have been to.

“ Their steaks are amazing and the place has a very cool and down to earth crowd. The first time I ever tried fried banannas was at this place and it was very yummy. This would be a good place for a group of friends to go to and have some food and cocktails and then go bar hopping in the area. Their tapas are a little bit overpriced though based on what they offer. ”

“ it's always loud and crowded, but it's a fun place to go for sangria, watch a giants game on t.v. and have pretty good bar/tapas food. they always have hot bartenders here, that's the best part. the haight st. location is harder to get into. ”

“ I usually go tot he Cha Cha Cha in Upper Haight and I always hate it because of the LOOOONG wait. The other night, we had a girl's night out and we went to the Cha Cha Cha in the Mission. The wait wasn't long at all! There was room at the bar for us to hang out and drink sangria while we waited. The host even came over and took our drink orders. After two pitchers of sangria, all I remember eating was the potato cubes. They were excellent. ”

“ If you're keen, you'll spy the note on your way in that puts you on notice that there is a direct relationship between your attitude and your ability to score timely seating. Either I have had very lucky timing, or it's true. I don't normally care for potatoes, but I'd trip all the way out there for just the sangria and spuds. So good. ”

“ Go to Chachacha with lots of hungry friends and order all the tapas you can get! I promise, you'll have tons of fun as long as you get the mussels in garlic broth, prawns in coconut milk, potato cubes, and a pitcher of sangria.
Yes, it's noisy, but the food is great! Remember: Big group, lots of tapas = Grand time.

“ The wait for this place can be long which is a bit of a downer....expecially when you're hungry like i was tonight. I normally love the calamari but it was a bit off tonight. The potatoes are great and this is coming from a person who doesn't normally like the spuds. The sangria is very tasty as well. The ambience is nice although quite crowded and it gets a little warm with all the bodies. The one in the Haight is a bit more breathable. ”

“ I've been here several times when going to the mission with friends. The only thing I don't like is the wait, which is always long. Otherwise I think the food is good and the atmosphere fun, a nice place to have dinner with friends before going out to the bars. Oh, and I'm not the biggest fan of the Sangria. It's decent but why are there so many grapes in it? They are like annoying little ice-cubes that won't melt and get in the way of you drinking. ”

“ I love the shrimp dish, but could take or leave the rest of the menu. The atmosphere is annoying. If you're going out to party, Cha Cha Cha is the place to go. If you want to go out and actually talk to the person across the table, this isn't the place for you. VERY bad date place, unless your date is really irritating. :) I don't go there anymore simply because they don't take reservations. It's a pretty popular place, so there is ALWAYS a wait. ”

“ I think the food is pretty good at this place, but I don't like how it is set up in comparison to the Haight one. It feels like a long hallway. If you go early enough (like I did), you don't have to wait for a table at all (Sunday @ 6PM). I like sharing the tapas with others, but you'll probably get hungry after 2 hours. At the time I went, they offered free caramel flan (from a coupon off their website), but when we tried to redeem the certificate, they told us they ran out of flan and didn't offer anything in place of it. The ambiance is a lot better at the Haight one, especially if you want to go for the party atmosphere. ”
