Am I ashamed to admit that I had gelato for dinner tonight? Not really. If you're going to Naia, I absolutely must persuade you to at the very least try the panna cotta flavor. I've had three or four other flavors, and I really just can't get over how creamy, thick, rich, sticky, and sensual the panna cotta is. Just taste it. And true, it doesn't have cookie bits, nor peanut butter swirls, nor Scharffenberger 62% chocolate, nor hazelnuts, but it's divine. Coming Friday (Feb. 23) the crew at Naia is going to introduce their new flavor of the week, a little competition that allows regular Joes and Jills like you and me to suggest new flavor concoctions. This all spun out of last year's flavor of the month contest. Keep your fingers crossed for my vietnamese coffee flavor, or carrot cake and cream cheese, or magic cookie bar gelato, as I've sent in a few original creation nominations. Review #18729

In some ways I was sad to see B and J's move out of the neighborhood and the crabby vibe of the staff remains, but the gelato here is great. Way too many amazing choices of interesting flavors. Don't miss the sorbets as well. Review #16040

Love the varieties here. Gelato is smooth and creamy. Service is friendly and they encourage you to try different flavors. Had the 'Horlicks' flavor tonight, and it brought back childhood memories. Review #15061

delicious choices. Fabulous and creative displays. Soy and fruit lactose-free options. Wonderfully satisfying no matter which option you go for. I love that they let you taste anything you want, even if it means trying most or all of the flavors. I agree that more seating would be great especially seating indoors. Can't wait to go there again! Review #13669

I love the gelato. Sooo good and sooo many to sample. Flavors always change and cool that I have usually never heard of at least a dozen. Only drawback for me is that there is no seating. They say it is to keep it authentic/italian...but the Castro is a little too crowded or cold to walk around outside with a cone. They told me they are getting a couple of stools, so that would make it great. Review #10739

Naia offers a delightful array of fruit sorbets and fun gelato served in colorful, translucent bowls (or cones), including a cone bowl. :) My favorites are cantaloupe sorbet -- super refreshing -- and Bailey's gelato. Serving sizes are generous, and the servers welcome chances to offer you tastes of any flavor. In a neighborhood where appearance is everything, Naia is a great fit: lowfat creamy goodness that tastes beautiful. Review #10576

Yummy creamy smooth gelato! Besides the usual flavors, they have a great creative selection (e.g. Rose). Looking forward to my next visit. Review #9330

Being new. I hope this place makes it and stays. A complete turn around from the Ben and Jerry's it replaces. The flavors they feature here are unconventional for a frozen treat. The other day they had Milo and Peppermimnt Schnapps. This place also has a nice vegan selection Review #9249
