“ There are a few of these around the city. Good stuff. Liked their eggplant and noodle dishes. ”

“
Food is great. Noise level is awful though. My ears hurt walking out of there.
The beef appetizer had that great wasabi kick to it.
Sea bass in green & red curry was creamy delicious. ”

“ My bosses took me out to lunch here, and it was very good! The wait in the beginning to get the waiter to come get our order was a bit long, but they were super busy. We got a bunch of dishes: Angel Wings (spelled Angle on the menu, very good), Ahi Tuna Wasabi (pretty good, fresh tasting), a pork salad (quite spicy and delicious), duck curry (mild and flavorful), and a new fried rice (forgot the name, but it was really good). Service was good after the initial wait, and the decor is fantastic. A bit loud for normal conversation, but I'm not usually picky about that. I'd go back! ”

“
Besides their nice and sleek decor, they actually have pretty good thai food. This place is on fire as their thai food is pretty spicy too. I ordered the Peppercorn pork and asked for medium but it came out spicy so can't imagine if I had asked for 'spicy'. Their curry is tasty and not as heavy in coconut milk as other places but not too watery either, so just right. Their food has beautiful presentation as I saw other tables ordered a dish that resembled a volcano, gotta go back and try their other dishes. Only down side is their prices are higher, average lunch plate costs around $9. ”

“
Osha is great. its a bit more crafty thai food and begs to deviate from the norm. how many times can one order the same pad thai dish served at every other thai place in the city, before trying something else? although not every dish was the bomb (the soup of the day wasnt on top of my list), I would go back there to try other new and creative thai dishes. ”

“ This place was a nice surprise. I've worked in the neighborhood for years, but never thought of going in. They had a lot of unique-to-the-restaurant dishes, including volcano beef topped with onion rings (? weird but good), and the Yellow Sea (which was a yellow curry with 5-6 types of seafood, including a couple of crab claws). The spring roll and seared tuna appetizers were good but not really filling. The entrees were large, though. While the waitress seemed new and was very quiet, she was nice and asked for help when she needed it. Lunch for 4 with a couple of drinks = $100...I'll go back, but on a special occasion, most likely. ”

“ The bathrooms are weird. Let's get that straight right off the bat. The dishes were a tad overpriced. Also, the service is poor. Buuuttt...
The FOOD was FABULOUS. Loved the fried chicken. Loved the curries and the egg rolls. Loved everything! And to top it all off, a fried banana with coconut ice cream...mmm...
Heaven in my tummy. For serious. ”

“ Stylish restaurant, decent food, reasonable prices. The only thai place I've been to that has a relatively innovative menu, and the 3 times I've been here been pleasantly surprised with my impulse to try something new. Extensive vegetarian options. Great value for such a sumptuous experience. (even the water is infused with *mint* and lemon)

“ Nice fun atmosphere and a very busy thai restaurant. The Tom Yum was great, but I'll always remember this place for biting into one of the hot peppers and continuing to chew it up by mistake! I suffered the rest of the night and through the next day. Also had some flat noodles that were very good, keeping in mind that I couldn't feel half of my face.

“ A cool atmosphere sometimes makes me wary of a restaraunt's food. Osha delivers, though. Appetizers are presented decoratively. Main courses have good flavor, color, textures. For a good lunch with drinks, plan on spending $13-$15 per person. ”

“ I had the salmon red coconut curry for lunch. Very large portion. Tasty, but frankly overly sweetened. Thought that the tables against the wall were too close to each other. I felt I was totally eavesdropping on the conversations from the table next to mine.

“ I love this place. The food is always so fresh and flavorful. I think it is one of the best values in the city. You might want to make a reservation, as it tends to be crowded. If you have to wait though, I think it's worth it. My only complaint is there is no bar. If you don't like spicy, make sure to mention it, as the food does tend to be. ”

“ I've reviewed Osha in the Mission and even though this location is larger, the location in the Mission gets the green light. The modern interior creates a fun environment, and the food is decent but the kitchen's execution seems better in the Mission. The usual coconut chicken soup, curries and pad thai are here and run a little more on the sweet than savory side. It's funny, the 2nd street location is busier at lunch and the Mission location is busier at dinner. Pricing is fair for what you get. ”

“ I have been to both the Mission and this 2nd street Osha restaurant....I love both of them... The one in the Mission is smaller and the wait can be long....Both restaurants are beautifully decorated with a modern hip club like atmosphere! You feel like you are dining at a trendy New York restaurant! The food here is great and not expensive! Some of my favorites are the Tom Yum Noodle soup which is served in a boat shape like bowl....very cool... they have several seafood dishes served with rice that are also very good... and the coconut rice dish is delightful! This location on 2nd street is good for large groups also! Fun place to eat and service is good also!

“ I liked this place alot. the interior is very cool, modern & funky....they need better music tho, the techno thumping got on my nerves after a while. the waitresses were nice & competent, altho when i asked for chopstix one waitress (not our own) gave me the ugly "to-go chopstix" in the paper which i thought was very odd since everyone else has the beautiful house chopstix. our waitress straightened it out. anyway the food was great. the salmon "sashimi-like" salad was awsome. the crispy egg rolls were a bit too thin & reedy for me, but still tasty. the duck appetizer was delicious. we also had the deep fried salmon/green beans in a yummy cream sauce dish-delicious. the cocoanut rice is good too & so were the fish cakes---this a great date place, hang out w/ ur friends place, impressing a client place, but get there early--we got there at 6pm & it was almost empty but within an hr. the joint was packed & there was a line out the door ”

“ I was surprised that this Osha was a lot more trendier looking than the one on Geary Street. However, the food was still inexpensive and good, and the trendier interior made for a cooler eating experience. ”

“ Beautiful restaurant, fast service for lunch and one of the better thai places south of Market St. Always a short wait for lunch. A little pricy for thai, but with the fancy decor it is worth it. Big portions and lots of flavor. They mean spicy when you ask for it! ”

“ Maybe I'm getting more discriminating with thai food, but honestly, I felt let down by this Osha location. I like the Osha on Geary and the one in the Mission, but this one was a disappointment in terms of the food. I went with a group of 7, and it seemed like every dish was overly sweet. I actually liked the sweetness of the Pad thai, there's a coconut taste to it that's really distinct. But however, this sweetness didn't work on the other dishes that we got. One in particular was a noodle dish in gravy. The Angel Chicken Wings, which I heard were great, had an overpowering sweet sauce that detracted from the overall flavor. We also ordered the Spicy Eggplant dish, which was good, but covered in a lot of oil. I recommend going more spicy on this dish if you can handle it! I ordered it mild, and there wasn't enough spicyness to balance the sweet. However, the decor is wonderful and very trendy. I like the hip environment of this place...attracts a lot of ppl in their 20s and 30s. ”

“ I went to Asha the first week they opened, and again today (July 18th), the service has improved greatly! They still need to work on plating the entire table together, but delicious food (we had the Garlic/Pepper Beef, Chicken Pad See Ew and Dressed Prawns). Even those waiting in line did not have that long of a wait. ”

“ Osha has a beautiful, modern interior, and the waitresses wear graceful thai-inspired costumes. The food is spicy but not too hot. My friend had the Spicy Green Bean Rice Plate, and I had the Green Papaya Salad. The prices are just a dollar or two above your hole-in-the wall thai place. As a result, the place is absolutely packed for lunch. However, I got a table on a Thursday evening with no problem. One side of the restaurant has low tables with thai pillows for groups, the other side is regular tables. It does get loud since there is no carpeting. You might want to avoid this place for lunch during the week unless you love crowds, but it's great for dinner if you want a fancy place but don't want to spend a lot of dough. Update: The owners also run Osha thai noodle shops. ”
