“ So tasty. Get the mediterranean dishes like the gyro plate. Lots of veggie options, too. This would be my recommended place for easy, delicious haight street food. They also have ample, comfortable seating - which is a bit unusual on haight street. ”
“I've had breakfast here a few times (be warned, if you order ham with your eggs, the ham is super paper thin and sparse) and tried some of their middle eastern offerings (hummus plate and middle eastern wrap). I'm happy to report that I enjoyed them all! This place has such a neighborhoody feel, so relaxed and casual, and the staff is friendly. All this adds to a great eating out experience.

“The genie atop the entrance is like a siren to the starving. While it serves middle eastern food, it appeals to the American senses-- fresh, fast and cheap. And even better, many of the selections leave one with a fabulous feeling of fulfillment that many people search for in vain.

“I've eaten here a bunch for lunch, and it's consistently good. They always have a nice homemade soup of the day and their wraps and sandwiches are always fresh and good. Also great middle eastern dishes. Haven't tryed breakfast here yet (as far as omelets and stuff), but I did get a bagel w/ lox, capers, etc. and it was yummy. Good portions, fresh ingredients.

“I stop in here often for lunch in the Haight. It seems to be always very busy on the weekends. Good selection of middle eastern wraps, omlettes and other plates. Food prep can be slow especially if it is crowded. Great tahini and I love the chicken wrap.”
“Cheap food, great teas (they carry lots by Stash), and beer in the bottle. A small falafel in a pita runs less than $5. Chicken gyros, for another two bucks or so, are reliably huge. All Blue Cafe's sauces, the tahini and some other spicier mixtures, make a simple meal even better. You can also get a cheap sandwich super fast here, so it's a great spot for locals on the run.”
“Great middle eastern dishes--especially for vegetarians. The variety is great and if one person in your party is in the mood for gyros and another for omlettes, this is the place to go. The garlic mayo is killer! A very casual atmosphere, and at times crowded. Best for two people and/or take-out. Their fruit is almost always fresh and tasty; the beef & lamb gyro meat can sometimes be a little overcooked (I ask them not to grill it a second time for me). delicious hummus and dolmas.”
