“ Ate at Laurel's for the first time, after walking past it for over a year. It's very unpretentious, just great cuban food at reasonable prices. There is a huge menu, a lot of seafood dishes but really a little of everything. I had Ropa Vieja, which is a shredded beef stew, with rice and plantains. It was perfect. They have a full liquor license and serve pitchers of sangria. The funky/tacky decor (crepe paper happy birthday banner is hanging, for those last minute birthday dinners I guess) adds to the charm of this little neighborhood gem. Located directly behind Paul K. ”
