“ They have moved to the space Geranium was in. almost a different experience then the previous incarnation.
the room has an ecclectic mix of oceanic and african and asian masks on the walls and little arty touches that confuse my eyes, and the menu...is it a sushi bar? yes sort of...is it japanese...? hmmmn....some sort of fusion based on japanese and california is going on here..but why masks from oceana? and thats how I feel about the menu..dont get it ..and yet all is tasty if not pricey. Why cant the stroller people leave the strollers at home..and keep their kids sitting at their own tables?

“ I think that this place has fairly inexpensive sushi compared to most of the other sushi places in San Francisco, especially for the quality you get. They have a lot of unusual rolls, and it doesn't bother me that they aren't "traditional." I really like the mango combinations, and when they use jalapeno. It is my current favorite sushi restaurant. ”

“ My suggestion is to order their specialty maki rolls. I really enjoyed their spicy tuna roll., it was pretty tasty and it had a nice spice to it. And their corn fritters were pretty tasty with a hint of curry. delicious!! I enjoyed their pear salad also. I liked their JoJo roll because you can taste the japanese mint leaves - shiso. delicious. I thought it was reasonably priced considering these were specialty rolls. I also liked their Riptide roll I thought it was pretty fresh. ”

“ Tonight was my first time coming here and I thought besides one negative thing it was all pretty good. We had ordered the Ahi mango spring roll with ginger lime sauce. This dish was the negative part, although it tasted pretty good the second time, but the first time it was brought out and I took my first bite, I found a piece of hair in it. But we got another one after which we had to pay for. We also ordered the Puerto Vallarta roll which was their special and it came with tempura shrimp, avocado, and tuna on top.It was pretty good but really soft. Then there was the Golden Gate roll, our fav.It had tuna inside and on top with green onion & tobiko. Last there was the Ecstasy roll because of the reviews. It had tuna avocado, tobiko, binco and green onion and tempura fried. It wasn't as good as the reviews had made it seemed. The waitress and waiter was friendly but was slow to give us our check and I didn't even get a tea refill! ”

“ OK, so it's not really authentic japanese sushi, but the creative sushi offerings are refreshing and some of the combinations are downright delicious. I also like the small plate menu of delicate items. The dragon roll here is delicious as is anything with eel. The wait can sometimes be long but when you get seated and get your food, it all does seem worth it! ”

“ The back room is roomy, quiet and warm, but can be a little dark. The staff is friendly and efficient. I'm not much for sushi (except for California Rolls) but I like almost everything on the menu. The "small plate" selections are great, but my favorite is the Baby back ribs and Wasabi mashed potatoes. The only complaint I have is that they don't serve coffee. I eat there whenever I can. A Bernal Heights GEM (and there are quite a few good restaurants in the neighborhood now). ”
