Yuck, this place is gross. The food was awful. There are so many better Chinese restaurants in this area, there is NO reason to visit this place. The food is cheap, but you get what you pay for. It's worse than the Chinese food you get in the mall. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, pretty basic right? Not here, it might as well been called Kung Pao canned mushrooms. Everyone seems to like this place, so maybe I went on a bad day, but I don't think I'll risk going back.

The best features of this restaurant are the view and dining room. I felt that they were trying a bit too hard with the menu. My husband & I took our Mom's here for Mother's Day & it was not a very good choice. My husband love's eating at the counter for brunch. He's not crazy about the crowd, but thought it would be nice for a Mother's Day Brunch. Our waiter was very RUDE. Perhaps he thought we were a bunch of amateurs going out on Mother's Day, but nonetheless his attitude was unwarranted. He acted as if he was Mr. Superior and treated us like we were idiots. I ordered Halibut w/ Green beans w/ a shrimp saffron sauce (yum). When asked for bread, they said they do not have any and served us coffee cake. C'mon, if your serving hearty meals w/ sauce, don't you think someone should have remembered to order bread? Perhaps my dining experience will be better on a "non-hustle bustle day"

I would love to give this a positive review because the food is outstanding, but the service was annoying. I visited this restaurant for brunch a few weeks ago and loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. It was bright, the bar is great & I love the feel of sitting upstairs & looking out into the street. The server knew nothing about the food & what he did know sounded like he was reading off the menu description. We ordered ice tea & coffee & were never offered a refill. We were deserted while the server did his "side work" so he could punch out on time. Very frustrating as a patron.

This place was overpriced and the food was average. It does have great ambiance & is in a wonderful location, but not worth it.

The pupusas are the best here. I also enjoy the fried platanos con frijoles y crema. You can't go wrong. Very authentic. It's a dive and the service isn't great, but the food is good.

This is a great alternative to waiting for a table at Cha Cha Cha down the street. It's a very quaint neighborhood restaurant that is always crowded. The mushroom dish is great!

You don't go here for the food, but for a stiff cocktail and the old school vibe. It's a flashback to days gone by. The food is just okay.

I love this place. The vegetarian platter is what I always order. The service is great and it's got a nice neighborhood vibe. A great place for an inexpensive meal with friends. You can even order pitchers of beer!

This is one of those places that I can only handle once every couple of years. It's definately got that "old San Francisco" feel to it which I love. The food is wonderful, but very heavy and I seem to be unable to control myself when I am there. I tend to eat enough to feed a small family of 5.

These are the most authentic crepes in the SF. Eating here brings back memories of the crepes I had in France. The servers are a bit painfully hip and make you feel a bit unwelcome, but if you can ignore that, the food is worth it.

I was extremely disappointed. The service was very bad. I had to send my margarita back twice. How can this happen??? The salsa tasted like canned tomato sauce w/ no spice flavoring whatsoever. The food, well it pushed me over the edge. It was bad.

One of the best restaruants in SF. The decor is spectacular and the food is even better. I've been to Farallon several times & each time they exceed my expectations with the service & food.

I had very high expectations of this restaurant and was not very impressed with my overall experience. I found the dining room a bit uptight and sterile. The service was just okay. The seafood was tasty, but not worth the price for the overall experience.

Having visited the Basque Country last summer, I can tell you that the food here is definately an upscale version of traditional Basque cuisine. I appreciate that they offer wines from small villages in the Basque country. The piperade is just like Amatxi makes it!

not sure what all the hype about this place is. The servers pretend they don't see you and tend to forget you are there. The entire menu is practically prepared in a deep fryer. Very dirty.

I love this place. I always order a fresh whole fish. They will bring you the fish (alive) to your table before preparing it. It is usually steamed w/ a light soy sauce. In & out service.

Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but a bit over-rated. I would prefer going to chinatown & eating at a dive where the food is just as good & half the price.

Great food & service. Everyone was very friendly which made the wait tolerable even though I had a reservation. Very loud, not a great place for a romantic dinner, but a great place to visit with friends. The sweetbreads were very yummy. =)
