The only complaint I have heard is that the service is slow. I have not found that, though I have not been here on a weekend. The food is excellent and well prepared. Local foods. Excellent wine list. This restaurant is a neighborhood gem, it is precisely why we all choose to live in San Francisco. The menu is interesting and varied and changes often so each time you visit is a new experience. The matre d'/owner is friendly and will work hard to get your reservation for the time and number you require.

This place was a little out of the way but of course a Wharf Rat can always find good food. The food was interesting and the presentation was very good. Service was a tad slow, though the busboys are the best. Overall a good SF restaurant.
