“This is a cheap taco place in an industrial park neighborhood. The food is decent. My 2 taco combo plate had lots of tasty food on it. The stewed chicken meat taco was very tasty. There was plenty of it. The carne asada taco was less good, as it was too dry, but the grilled beef flavor was authentic - Ghetto authentic. Order at the counter. The counter girl is surly. I speak fluent Spanish, the girl smirked and answered all my questions in really bad English. Reverse discrimination? Pay your tariff, take your table number placard. 20 seconds later another surly girl brings your basket of tortilla chips, pico de gallo, hot sauce, lime slices, fork knife & napkin. The giant plate of food arrives 10 minutes later. It's filling, It's satisfying. The dining room @ lunch hour has 20 people chowing down. Some have jobs, blue collar jobs. Others look homeless. Some speak English, most do not. If you are a tourist to Santa Rosa, you do NOT want to come here. ”

“Interesting little place. Great steaks, delicious seafood. I'm a cheap and cheerful kinda guy, so this isn't worth the money IMHO, but if you appreciate a quality steak, this may well be your place.
Definitely a splash out dinner. Girl behind the bar is awesome!

“I love this place. Right in the heart of the Marina, fillmore and Union, this is an unpretentious cafe, with nice folks behind the counter, good affordable food, coffee and pastries. Great place for a casual meeting, lunch or a glass of wine after work.
1hr free wifi with each purchase. Good place to bring a laptop and do some work. Not too loud apart from at lunch time.

This is one of the best restaurants in the City. The best part about it is the owner Shelly who greets everyone at the door and remembers your name. My favorite dish is the Burrata which is a mozzarella cheese made with cream! YUM! ”

“
Jonnatan Leiva is constantly reinventing the menu at Jack Falstaff. It's sad when a favorite dish is taken down (skate wing, beef cheeks) but there is always something new to explore.
The staff is indeed very nice and helpful. The wine menu is nicely stocked and very reasonably priced. ”

Orson |

“
Elizabeth Falkner's "Orson" boasts an amazingly specialized menu of small plate dishes and specialty cocktails that are not be found anyplace else in the city. Every item is assembled with unique ingredients or interesting twists on old faves.
The menu's culinary samplings explode with flavors that dazzle the pallet. The portions are just right to tease you and let you wanting for more. If the portions were entree sized they would probably be overwhelming.
Falkner opened Orson with the intention of it being a late night haunt for people to grab light nibbles. Diners should take that as a warning and not expect to easily make a meal out of Orson's menu of small plate dishes. Size-wise, I'd say they are somewhere between sample and tapas portion. You will rack up a small fortune of a bill and still not feel like you are satisfied.
Orson offers a treat of an experience but that is about extent one can call it. ”

“Relaxed, chill, great ambiance, unpretentious with a cozy indoor and delightful outside area, this is a great spot! Best for hanging with friends or a group. Drink a beer -- or four -- and dine on quality Irish pub fare, including a meat pie, hearty stew, and mouthwatering steak fries. Also has salad and side of veggies for those watching cholesterol or calories. Not Fleur de Lys, but doesn't claim to be. Generally friendly wait staff. Can get a little on the loud side, but hey, that's part of the ambiance too. Reasonable prices. Enjoy! ”

“A friend took me here and I was very surprised. The restaurant was very cozy and dim with a large bar. The bar was packed when we arrived. I had a simple burger and I was very pleased. Great quality and substantial size and accompanied with fries and salad. I recommend this cozy neighborhood gem. ”

“The Ramp has a nice "local" setting on the water. It is hard to just stumble across this place. You have to know where it is to find it. It has a typical burger menu and is quite limited. The burgers are good, but over priced. The fish & chips are just ok also. Think of it as a great place to have a beer on a warm day.

“Caveat: this review is only for the bar and *not* the restaurant:
$10 for a beer, attitude included. The 11oz beer was actually only $8.50 but the waitress rounded up to $10, without informing me, kindly saving me the hassle of deciding how much to tip her for her near-smile. I'm so glad I waited in line for 45min to get in.
On the plus side it *is* a lot cheaper than flying to Hollywood for the same look-at-me snobbery. I never bash a place without at least two visits. I gave this place three and it got worse each time.
